Humorous Monologues in the waltz

1.  How does the structure of alternating monologues develop humor in the text?  The alternating monologues develop humor in the text by we knowing what the character is thinking in her mind and when she say yes to dance with him but she really don't want to and all the reasons she gives.   2 .  What truths about social relationships does Parker illuminate through the use of interior and exterior monologues in “The Waltz”? Twain part 2

1. Twain develops Simon character by describing his actions and how he  is ''he was fat   balded  headed and had a expression of winning gentleness  and simplicity upon his tranquil countenance''. 2.The effect of the word choice in this story is really specific and some words are hard to understand for the reader  3. the narrator is very different   from the characters because this story give the reader a good detail  on each character and what they do.
